Our Mission
Creating safer streets through research, design, and community engagement.
UrbanSpark explores how the design of everyday streets affects the people who use them. By examining existing infrastructure and developing site-specific proposals, we aim to make streets safer and more accessible for pedestrians, cyclists, and drivers. Our work begins with school communities, where thoughtful design can make a meaningful difference in students' daily lives.

Parks Junior High School Safety Redesign
Located in Fullerton, California, our first project examines traffic congestion and safety concerns surrounding Parks Junior High School. Through site observations and urban design research, UrbanSpark is developing a proposal to improve pedestrian crossings, organize vehicle circulation, and create safer routes for students traveling to and from school.
Research
Understanding the Streets
We examine existing road conditions, traffic patterns, and pedestrian experiences to identify challenges within school communities.
Design
Developing Solutions
Using our findings, we develop site-specific street redesign proposals that prioritize safety, accessbility, and efficient movement.
Engage
Connecting with the Community
We seek input from students, families, local residents, and city officials to better understand community needs and refine our proposed designs.
